Bipolar Head

The iNSitu Bipolar Hip System consists of a factory assembled UHMWPE liner in a cobalt chrome outer shell, and UHMWPE retention ring with a Ti alloy spring. The Bipolar Heads include outer diameters ranging from 38 to 60mm, in 2mm increments, to accommodate patient anatomy. The smaller Bipolar Heads (38 to 42mm) have an inner diameter that mates with a 22mm diameter Femoral Head; the larger Bipolar Heads (44 to 60mm) have an inner diameter that mates with a 28 mm diameter Femoral Head. The iNSitu Bipolar Hip System may be used in conjunction with any iNSitu Total Hip System Femoral Stem.

Femoral Head

Both BIOLOX®delta ceramic heads, known for their low wear and superior mechanical properties, and CoCr heads are available with several offsets to accommodate clinical needs.  Both head designs feature an ultra-smooth surface finish for optimal wear performance.

Bipolar Compatible Stems

The Bipolar Head is compatible with all Nextstep stems including the iNSitu Quad-Taper, iNSitu Cemented, and the iNSitu Blade stem.
