iNSitu Dual-Taper Blade Hip System

The unique, titanium alloy stem design features a dual taper geometry with a reduced distal profile designed to provide an optimal fit in all bone types. Stem sizes 3 and 4 are significantly shorter in overall length than competitor devices to accommodate small stature patients. The head to stem taper junction has been specifically engineered to limit trunnionosis. To promote early stability and bone ingrowth, the stems feature a 0.25 circumferential press fit and a proximal plasma spray titanium coating. Both standard and lateral offsets are available.

Options

  • Size 3 - size 18, 20, 22, and 24 available

  • Standard and Lateralized offsets for each size

Progressive Lateralization

A lateralized version of each stem is available, providing a progressively greater horizontal offset with each size, while still maintaining leg length, vertical offset and neck angle. The stem architecture is designed for a more accurate match with anatomical variations and inconsistencies, for optimal biomechanical reconstruction.

Acetabular Cup

The titanium-alloy acetabular cup is additively manufactured, enabling a seamless integration of our engineered porous metal structure, porosiTi™, with the solid substrate. The cup's unique design features ensure both solid initial fixation and long-term biologic fixation. An ideal three-holed screw pattern is accompanied by a large range of self-centering, self-tapping screws. The Multi Holed Cup offers additional screw fixation through a unique hole pattern that optimizes screw trajectory and bony purchase.

Options

14 cup sizes: Size 42 - Size 68

Acetabular Liner

The liners feature α-poly™, an Alpha-Tocopherol blended DCM polyethylene.  α-poly™ is a highly cross-linked, oxidation resistant, and ultra-low wearing material.  The liner is designed to provide optimal minimum poly thickness in critical loading zones and to allow for larger heads in smaller cup sizes.

The liner "seats" in the acetabular cup prior to the final impact. Anti-rotational tabs and an interrupted annular (notched) locking ring are designed to provide stability and prevent wear.

Options

  • Eleven sizes

  • Neutral, hooded, and face-changing liners available in all sizes

The iNSitu Hip System is color coded. Liner groupings and head offsets are uniquely colored for quick reference during surgery.

Along with the liner and head trials, the color coding is used for compatibility referencing on component packaging.
